Dotomi is seeking an ambitious individual to become a part of an exciting team of developers working in new and interesting ways online. We need an experienced Oracle DBA to be responsible for database development and support of our applications. The DBA provides database support for production, test and development systems, involvement in design, development, testing and migration plans for the various database schemas for our online and Data Warehousing application and develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripts for creating and maintaining databases schemas. This qualified candidate will be involved in: -logical and physical data modeling and design with an emphasis on efficiencies for a highly available online applications. - Work closely with Java developers to review, tune and develop SQL and PL/SQL codes for online real-time applications. - Support developers, production and QA on database related issues. -Work with system analyst to create Ad-hoc reports. - Apply generally accepted SQL and PL/SQL standards and techniques to assure efficient program design and operation. -Manage infrastructure projects such as database upgrades. - Balance the needs of others while properly executing on assigned tasks and adapt to rapidly changing and evolving requirements. -Develop, implement and monitor backup/recovery policy and procedures. - Must be willing to manage and/or learn Postgres Databases. |

| Qualifications |
-Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
-3-5+ years of solid Oracle DBA experience in 24X7, a Linux environment.
-Postgres experience desired.
-OLTP
-Data warehousing
-Very Large Database experience - high volume transactional databases
-Oracle Certification preferred
-SQL Server experience desired
-Advanced performance tuning skills(instance and SQL)
-Experience with building, installation, upgrading of Oracle
-Oracle 9i or 10g experience on Linux platform
-Thorough knowledge of Oracle architecture
-Oracle RAC/Grid desired |
