Position Summary
Dotomi is looking for an experienced Flash Designer who will contribute to the design, coding, and animation of dynamic banner ads. This role will consist of working closely with a graphic design team to produce cutting-edge online advertising using Dotomi’s proprietary, ad-serving technologies. Tasks involve: importing creative from Illustrator/Photoshop files prepped by Designers, developing animation and interactivity in Flash banner ads, optimizing Flash files to meet size/performance standards, integrating the banners with our message-delivery systems.
Our fast-growing company works with many Fortune 500 clients, so candidates must have a good eye for design, be ready to meet tight deadlines, have a strong sense of organization and time-management and have the desire to earn real-world experience developing rich media.
Essential Job Functions/Activities
- Assist with building and animating new ad campaigns
- Maintain existing campaigns
- Optimizing online creative assets
- Must have 2+ years of experience as a Flash Designer / Developer
- A solid working-knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite CS3—specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and, of course, Flash
- Online portfolio site for us to review your work
- A firm grasp of resolution/dpi, raster, vector, file weight and other related digital imaging concepts.
- A gift for working with code is a must, specifically being able to demonstrate experience in coding with ActionScript 2 (AS3 is a plus)
- Discipline at keeping files organized, being a fast learner, the capacity to handle many clients, and thrive in a fast-paced, production environment.
- Additional pluses: working-knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and PHP; previous internship/work experience in online advertising field; a degree in Media-Arts/Animation/Multimedia or an equivalent program.
