Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, detailed-oriented professional with strong associative thinking capability to support the needs of the Categorization and Taxonomy Department. The Categorization and Taxonomy Team is responsible for identifying and classifying products. Success as a Marketing Categorization Analyst (II) involves developing and improving the flow of product data from various data sources through the advanced semantic-based product data classification tool and out to internal distribution channels. The Marketing Categorization Analyst (II) will obtain knowledge of a wide range of marketing categories, and use that knowledge in a way that drives Dotomi’s innovative solution and impacts our bottom-line.

Essential Job Functions/Activities

  • Guide the development of a comprehensive, multi-product vertical taxonomy that will serve multiple functions now and in the future.
  • Develop and create process work flows.
  • Ensure taxonomy content aligns with end user needs.
  • Master product mastering data tools.
  • Assist in the mapping of product data to the Dotomi Product Taxonomy.

Minimum Job Requirements

A strong candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • In-depth understanding of consumer products and hierarchies.
  • 2-3 year of experience in Marketing or Search.
  • MS Office proficient, especially Excel.
  • Database familiarity preferred. SQL and/or RegEX and Oracle (a plus).
  • Information Architecture or Library and Information Science or experiences a plus.
