Essential Job Functions/Activities
- Work with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into technical designs
- Research approaches and coordinate designs with team participants.
- Develop and test software modules and work with QA to transfer knowledge and assist in their test planning.
- Maintain production environments as appropriate
- May lead projects and initiatives
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented professional to support the needs of the R&D Team at Dotomi. A strong candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
- At least 6 years of experience in developing client-server applications
- At least 2 years of experience in leading projects preferred
- Expert level Java preferred
- Excellent understanding of Object Oriented methodology and design
- Excellent understanding of multithreaded applications
- Experience in XML
- Experience with SQL and databases
- Strong understanding of client-server programming
- Strong understanding of Web technologies
- Online experience (e.g. worked in web enabled environments) – ideally around media
- Ability to learn and investigate new areas independently
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail
- Needs to be a self starter that can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get the work done
