Sr. Software UI Engineer

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented professional to support the needs of IT and development Team at Dotomi. A strong candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

Mandatory skills include

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related field
• At least 6 years of experience in developing client-server applications
• At least 2 years of experience in leading projects preferred
• Expert level Java preferred
• Expert level HTML / DHTML / Java Script
• Experience with Swing & GWT (or similar languages) preferred
• Excellent understanding of Object Oriented methodology and design
• Excellent understanding of multithreaded applications
• Experience in XML
• Experience with SQL and databases
• Experience with different data structures and their performance
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
• Strong understanding of client-server programming
• Strong understanding of Web technologies
• Online experience (e.g. worked in web enabled environments) – ideally around media

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into technical designs
• Research approaches and coordinate designs with team participants
• Develop and test software modules and work with QA to transfer knowledge and assist in their test planning
• Maintain production environments as appropriate
• May lead projects and initiatives
